About this listen

Though India Devlin left her hometown to pursue a brilliant career as a criminal prosecutor, she has always loved historic Devlin’s Light, visiting as often as her busy schedule permits. But when her brother is found murdered on the steps of the lighthouse - the town’s namesake - she returns to uncover who killed Ry. When her brother’s good friend, Nick Enright, offers to help in her investigation, India accepts - after all, he’s the one who found Ry that night, and heard his mysterious last words.

As the list of suspects begins to narrow, India and Nick find themselves undeniably drawn to each other - a feeling India isn’t sure she is ready to admit. Soon a wonderful new emotion is glowing at Devlin’s Light - a sweet, irresistible, very mutual attraction - intensifying with each wave that crashes on the beach of the enchanting town by the bay.

The story was great but the voice the narrator used in between the characters was very off putting, I nearly abandoned the book because it was grating

Enjoyed the story but the narrator made it hard to listen to

the narrator is great. I liked that there was not too many characters. The story was predictable right from the first chapter but I still wanted to hear it to the end. I'm glad I used a free credit because I wouldn't have paid for that story.

nice but predictable

The readers tone was not warm. The story was so long winded and boring would not recommend this book.

Not the best

Really enjoyed this book,

A different kind of setting in regards to this storyline which I found interesting & intriguing had some great twists and turns.

Sort of like a murder mystery without it seeming as such.

Good Murder Mystery

A who-dunnit set in a small town. The main characters are the 21st century generation of the original settlers.
It is a tangled web of lies, death and greed that needs to be dealt with.
It was about knowing yourself and where you belong, and who you belong with.
The narrator just wasn’t right…

Small town drama

Story was predictable and slow.
The narrator was difficult to listen to. Emphasizing words in a way that made no sense to me. If I wasn't so stubbornly committed to finishing what I start, I would have quit listening!

Awkward

Not for me. The characters and world are fanciful with a Ken and Barbie love story thrown in.
The narration was difficult to listen to with a weird lilt in the voice and I ended up playing it at a faster speed to get through.
My first poor review I’m afraid.

Shallow soap opera.

it's free and I still feel ripped off.
