About this listen

The best-selling suspense author shows her softer side in this endearing love story of two searching hearts....

Georgia Enright has dedicated her life to dance. But at age 26, her hopes of becoming a lead dancer are dashed. So she ventures to Pumpkin Hill, an old farm owned by her newly found half sister, Laura Bishop, to contemplate her future. There, discovering an affinity for country life - and a barn just perfect for giving dance lessons - Georgia enjoys an oasis of peace…until Matthew Bishop arrives.

An abandoned child taken in by the same parents who adopted Laura, Matt has plans of his own for that barn - plans that include a veterinary clinic, not a ballet studio! The only thing the rugged doctor resents more than Laura's interest in her birth family is his having to share the premises with one of them. Yet he can't deny there's something about Georgia that has brightened his world - and if he's not careful, she just may dance into his heart.

Feel good novel

This narrator has a very unfortunate speech pattern every sentence is read as a question. Too hard a voice to listen to at bedtime .

I enjoyed both stories here but, found the most obvious antagonist thread gave in much too easily. This was a perfect situation for tension, confusion and conflicting feelings between characters. The other story was set earlier and very simply. It needed a few more crumbs or links along the way I think.
But, I must remember that I am not the writer and still did enjoy it enough.

Good combination of major storylines.

This is a lovely story to listen to. Loved the characters. Easy to just get swept away by the characters and leave work stress far away

Wonderful

The book is not bad... it's just not great. Don't get me wrong, it's nicely written and it has a pleasant pace, but it was very predictable and two things kinda got to me:
1. the narrator's cadence is the same on repeat. It gets tiring to listen to;
2. the author couldn't be happy making one couple... she had to get EVERYBODY in the story set up, ready for marriage. On top of this, the "good guys" have no flaws. They're all perfect and even when she tries to make them flawed, she can't help herself, and will just make it so that it sounds like it's a delightful flaw. :s
Anyway, it was alright, but if I'm being honest, probably wouldn't have finished it in physical format.

I couldn’t get past the third chapter unfortunately. The narrator was the most annoying I have ever heard. I really wanted to listen to this book but I just could not listen to her voice any longer.

Narrator Ruined It For Me

I really liked the sound of this book but the narration is terrible- I just couldn’t listen to her anymore - I’m sorry I can’t rate your book - perhaps change the narrator it is just so drone and lifeless

I tried to hang in
