Denn einige Überlebende verschwanden nach ihrer dramatischen Rettung - darunter einer der beiden Kapitäne. Der Berliner Student Georg Brand findet eine seltsame Seekarte, auf der der verstorbene Hacker Tron offenbar eine falsche Route der "Estonia" eingezeichnet hat. Georg beginnt mit eigenen Recherchen und entdeckt bald immer mehr aberwitzige Details der Katastrophe. Doch erkennt er auch die monströse Gefahr, die von dem untergegangenen Havaristen noch immer ausgeht?
