Summary
Während Dr. Watson beschließt, am späten Abend die Nachtruhe einzuläuten, begeben sich Holmes und Alice ins Hotel Amerika. Dort findet eine musikalische Abendveranstaltung statt. Alice hat bald einen angenehmen Gesprächspartner gefunden, einen gewissen Thomas Münner, und Holmes unterhält sich angeregt mit einer ihm unbekannten Dame.
