About this listen

Death on a Martian Plain is a direct follow-on to my second book, Escape to Mars. However, it can be listened to on it's own.

Death on a Martian Plain begins approximately two Earth years after the events in Escape to Mars. Supreme Leader Malachai orders Major Sierra Barnes of the Division of Ministerial Security of the Ministry of State Security to select a team to accompany her on a trip to Mars. She is to capture Chase Campbell, Jenna Garrett, Stephanie Park, and, if possible, Eryn Garrett. Once they are captured, they are to be returned to Earth for intense interrogations and show trial.

Malachai tells Major Barnes that if she succeeds in her mission, she will be promoted to lieutenant colonel. However, if she fails in her mission, she cannot return to Earth.

It's up to Stephanie Park and the Resistance on Mars to do everything that they can to protect Chase Campbell, Jenna Garrett, Eryn Garrett, and Stephanie Park, the Resistance Leader on Mars. Will they succeed in protecting the fugitives, or will Major Barnes succeed in her mission and return to Earth in triumph?

The stakes could hardly be higher. For the fugitives, capture means a long trip to Earth, a long and painful interrogation followed by a show trial and execution. For Major Barnes, failure means she cannot return to Earth. Who wins and who fails?
