About this listen

Some days, all you need is a message from a stranger.

Ruby Santos knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she signed up to write a soldier overseas. The guidelines were simple: one letter or email a week for the length of his or her deployment. Care packages were optional.

Been there, done that. She thought she knew what to expect.

What she didn't count on was falling in love with the guy.

Loved this, but the audio was a bit ordinary with some weird running noises in the background throughout the whole story which was distracting. But the rest was great!!

Great story!

I honestly thought I would get bored listening to so many emails, but nada. I found this so easy to listen to, and I adored both narrators.

loved

The combination of Zapatas words and their performance always makes for a great experience.

I had read/listened to From Lukov With Love and was excited to realise that Ruby had a book.
Absolutely loved watching Ruby's & Aaron's relationship grow.
Ugh, slow burn perfection yet again.

Ughhhh soooo good

I really enjoyed this book. The development of the characters throughout the first half of the book through their emails and IMs was truly delightful. But I was super annoyed when they finally meet/start talking on the phone it’s no longer a dual narration. It’s just Callie. Why would you do that when you had Teddy Hamilton! He was so good as Aaron. It really took me out of it, particularly when Callie’s version of his voice had a really different accent. I kept waiting to hear Aaron’s (Teddy’s) voice. Anyway, despite that disappointment it was still good.

Truly delightful - slightly disappointed though
