Publisher's Summary

When I find out he’s a virgin, it makes me hotter than I’ve ever been.

I’m old enough to know better than to get hung up on a 20-year-old twink, but he’s just my type. Problem is, he’s scared of bigger, burlier guys. He needs guidance and protection, the kind I crave giving my subs.

I’d never hurt him, but how can I convince him of that?

Heath is as prickly as they come. For some reason, he can’t believe I want him in my bed. I want to teach him everything. I want him to be mine.

He follows every instruction like he was a born submissive. While most of me wants to watch him flourish under my instruction, I can’t help but remember my last sub. I know I won’t find Heath in another Dom’s bed like my ex. But am I ready to risk my heart again and trust that Heath is as committed as I am?

Dante and Heath are lovely together

Another fantastic book in this series! When Dante spends time with the Hell’s Ankhor club he and Heath quickly realise how much they like each other. Dante is scared of takin things further because he’s been hurt so badly before, plus there’s an age gap, and the little matter of him being a dom. Heath meanwhile doesn’t think Dante will ever be interested in him because he’s young and inexperienced, but more to the point his self confidence is so low he can’t believe Dante would ever be interested in him.

I really enjoyed watching them work together and face their fears so they could have their chance at love. Both men are kind and gentle and I loved their story.

A steamy opposites attract hurt /comfort!🔥

This was a steamy, age gap
opposites attract!

Dante and Heath were amazing together and I liked how how the BDSM aspect was handled.

This had emotional, heartfelt moments entwined in the storyline which I loved.
The characters were likeable and well fleshed out and I liked how the author addressed their past issues as well.

This was an amazing listen.
David Allen Vargo's audio delivery was smooth, flawless and utter perfection!!

Steamy Opposites-Attract Romance w/Great Narration

This is such a terrific audio book! Dante and Heath find themselves directly in each other's orbit as their motorcycle clubs seek reconciliation after recent events, and they get off to a rocky start for reasons (no spoilers). But they can't deny the mutual attraction brimming under the surface and once they push past their personal issues, their getting together is very steamy but also surprisingly tender, thoughtful and loving. There is some external conflict as well, which unites the two clubs in their efforts against it and brings Dante and Heath even closer together.

Narrator David Allen Vargo delivers an amazing performance. From Dante's deep growly voice to Heath's wide-eyed youthful one to the many distinct side characters, his narration hits all the right emotional notes and is just perfect for the story. I have no doubt his narration greatly added to my enjoyment of this book.

I jumped into "Dante" not having read the previous Hell's Ankhor books but the character development and plot setup is so good that I didn't have any trouble picking things up from the start. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Dante and Heath

Dante is book 6 in the Hell's Ankhor series. I love this book, it's a wonderful addition to the series. Dante, is the vice president of the Liberty Crew and is needing to make amends for his now ex-members to the the Hell's Ankhor club. While on the Hell's Ankhor premise he needs a chaperone. Heath, a newly patched in member of Hell's Ankhor is to be Dante's chaperone. Then when it turns out the 3 ex-members of Liberty Crew are after Heath, Dante becomes very protective of the kid. I really loved watching their journey as they found what they wanted and needed from each other. I really love their dynamic. I love when Heath took a stand and wasn't afraid to let Dante know what he wanted. Definitely recommend this book and series.
Narrator David Allen Vargo does a marvelous job.

Heath & Dante

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. Dante is the VP of the neighboring towns MC club Liberty Crew and they are allies to Hells Ankhor. Heath is extremely shy with low self-esteem. There are twists & turns, humor, surprises anger, fear & pain. Heath is made to be the chaperone of Dante when he comes to mend fences after 3 ex-members threaten Hells Ankhor MC. I thought they were made for each other. David did a great job with the narration.

Protector Age gap MM romance

I loved this story between Dante and Heath. I really enjoy the dichotomy of young and older, twinkish and a big muscle brute, Dom and sub....you get the idea. This story had all of the above on top of great character development and fantastic narration! Great audiobook.

This series just keeps getting better!!

So can we talk about Heath?? He is so sweet and naturally submissive. I wanted to hug him. Is that wrong? Dante just wanted to protect him, so I can't be wrong. I loved every single second of this book!!

Awesome addition to the series! Loved it!

Dante is book 6 in the Hell’s Ankhor series and I absolutely loved it! To make things right and reconcile the two MC’s Dante is tasked the job of sharing not only his fighting skills but also his cooking skills with the club. Heath is Dante’s chaperone while at the club, and he ends up learning a whole lot more from this sexy man than fighting and baking! Ohhh and the crazy hot chemistry between them is off the charts Hot! I thought narrator David Allen Vargo did a super fantastic job with his deep sexy voice and theatrics bringing this story to life! It’s a great addition to this awesome series! Dante is a really good audiobook that I definitely recommend!

Great narration!

This is book 6 in one of my favorite series, so hearing the audiobook was a must even if it was the first book I have ever heard narrated by David Allen Vargo. But it was a pleasant surprise. Mr Vargo managed the characters masterfully ensuring that every dialogue and scene flew smoothly with his wonderful performance and voice acting. I enjoyed a lot witnessing Dante and Heath’s story and how romantic situations and kinky scenes intertwined together. Great book with an outstanding narration!

Good, but not as good as the others in this series

This is the 6th book is the fabulous Hell’s Ankhor series, a very accessible MC series that even those who don’t think they would like that gritty world (like me) will find the stories engrossing and the characters captivating. This book - which is a little less fabulous than the other installments - focuses on Dante - who actually isn’t even a member of HA; Dante is the VP of the Liberty Crew, a smaller MC club within the Hell’s Ankhor club’s territory. The story is somewhat ancillary to Hell’s Ankhor, which made it a bit less interesting for me. The premise is that there’s been some “friction” between the clubs and Dante is trying to mend the relationship. Dante, although big, tough and tattooed, is a baker by trade and a teddy bear at heart; he owns Stella’s bakery and often supplies the Hell’s Ankhor crew. Dante leverages this to extend an olive branch to Blade, the HA leader, and agrees to pay reparations for his club’s screw-up by teaching self-defense and, of all things, baking to the Hell’s Ankhor club members.

Heath, nicknamed the Kid because of his age (20) and overt innocence, is a newly patched-in member of Hell’s Ankhor and is tasked with chaperoning Dante when Dante is on premises at the HA clubhouse. The problem? Heath is totally intimidated by the much older Dante, and Dante doesn’t understand why. The book follows the two MCs as they move past their initial judgment of each other based on appearance alone, and slowly start to learn about each other and to trust each other, and the romance ensues from there.

This is an age gap, Dom/sub relationship with action, steam and MCs who you will really like individually, and (somewhat) together. I didn’t find them as authentic as a couple of the pairs in the prior books, maybe because some of their actions and reactions seemed inconsistent at times. Overall, though, it still is a very enjoyable read. This can be read as a stand-alone, although I recommend you read them in sequence because there will be some minor spoilers if you don’t.

In terms of narration, David Allen Vargo gives a solid performance. His voice fits with the tenor of the book and the series because it has a richness and depth to it that is the appropriate counterpoint to the characters and the story. He created two distinct voices and consistently delivered them. His diction is excellent and he is able to impart the right emotion behind the words, although at times, the delivery seemed a bit overdone, like he was trying too hard. Overall, though, I recommend this book and the series.

Great addition to an enjoyable series.

Oh, this book was a sweet surprise, hidden under tattoos and leather. Heath was working on undoing the damage his brothers left behind, but his work isn’t done. He still frightens easily by bigger men. Not as many as before, but Dante is definitely one he runs from. It’s not just his size though; it’s also because he finds himself attracted to Dante. That scares him even more. When Heath is assigned to be Dante’s chaperone, they eventually become friendly, which gradually becomes more. Could these men find what they’ve been missing in each other?

// This was another easy, fun listen. I’ve really enjoyed this series, and these guys. I like how all the entire MC plays an active role in each book, so we get to see more of the guys we’ve come to love. The day they run out of characters to write about is going to be a sad day, indeed.

// David Allen Vargo does a fantastic job bringing this story to life. His voice is perfect for this kind of story, and for these tough, yet complex, men. It’s easy to differentiate who is talking by the varying voices he provides.

Great story and performance

This is hands down my favorite MC series and it just keeps getting better and better. I was afraid that after the plot of Rebel concluded, the series might not have places to go that were as interesting but I was completely wrong. I love that we are now bringing in allied groups and mixing the clubs together. Here, we have the classic story of the large, alpha combined with a younger, rather fearful man but nothing in this story feels canned or repetitious. I love the two main characters together and the plot's use of the hurt/comfort trope was excellent. David Allen Vargo's performance here was wonderful. It must be difficult to voice so many alpha males and keep every character distinct, yet he manages to do that and capture all the emotions perfectly as well.

Steamy and satisfying

Though Dante and Heath got off to a rough start, once they worked through their communication issues I really enjoyed this romance. I wasn't a fan of how Dante and Heath both made wild assumptions about what the other person was thinking instead of trying to talk things out, so the first couple of chapters were very frustrating to get through. Thankfully, these two resolved their misunderstandings relatively quickly, and the rest of the story showed a lot more maturity from both men. Compared to some of the other books in this series, Dante's story was light on the action, but I was actually happy to see a slower-paced, romance-centric storyline for a change. In the absence of MC chaos, it was such a joy to see Heath open up with Dante and explore all the pleasures of being with a man. The added D/s dynamic was very hot, and I appreciate that Heath's submissiveness didn't turn him into a doormat for Dante to walk all over. In fact, Heath's explorations with Dante seemed to give him more confidence and strength to take on duties in the club. Dante's character growth seemed to happen all at the very end of the story, but it was still gratifying to see him realize that being a Dom didn't mean he had to hide his weaknesses and fears from Heath. David Allen Vargo did a great job narrating this story, though I did think his narration of the steamy bits was a little over the top at times.

Dante

I am loving this series and love Dante and Heath!
Whilst these books can all be read/listened to as stand alone’s I do recommend that you read them all in order as there is a background story running through all of them and knowing the story of the other characters adds to your enjoyment.
I can’t wait for Tru’s story!
