Publisher's Summary

Spensa's life as a Defiant Defense Force pilot has been far from ordinary.

She proved herself one of the best starfighters in the human enclave of Detritus and she saved her people from extermination at the hands of the Krell—the enigmatic alien species that has been holding them captive for decades. What's more, she travelled light-years from home as a spy to infiltrate the Superiority, where she learned of the galaxy beyond her small, desolate planet home. Now, the Superiority—the governing galactic alliance bent on dominating all human life—has started a galaxy-wide war. And Spensa has seen the weapons they plan to use to end it: the Delvers. Ancient, mysterious alien forces that can wipe out entire planetary systems in an instant.

Spensa knows that no matter how many pilots the DDF has, there is no defeating this predator.

Except that Spensa is Cytonic. She faced down a Delver and saw something eerily familiar about it. And maybe, if she's able to figure out what she is, she could be more than just another pilot in this unfolding war. She could save the galaxy. The only way she can discover what she really is, though, is to leave behind all she knows and enter the Nowhere. A place from which few ever return.

To have courage means facing fear. And this mission is terrifying.

Sub par for Sanderson is still great

Felt slightly childish compared to previous Sanderson books but still a fun story. Things seem to neatly, conveniently resolve themselves. The fun character of the star flight books carries it though

Cytonic: journey to the no where (Spoilers Alert!!)

This was a fantastic adventure worthy of the Skyward flight badge and the only reason it got a 4 star on story was because i felt when they were fragment skipping and the dinosaur etc was just a bit much and side tracked the reader and made you second guess if you were still in the same sci fi genre, the story got lost in the no where (pardon the pun). It was quickly back to the amazing adventures of Spencer though and still earned itself a 5 star. Great work Brandon!!

Good listening but not outstanding

The first novel in this series was exceptional. This third novel felt a bit weird and not quite so engaging. Some of the philosophical discussions are great and the interaction between characters was also excellent. I think though that the plot seemed to struggle a bit and felt a bit fragmented not unlike the space where the action takes place.
The narrator as usual was outstanding.
Still overall great writing.

Hurry up for the next book please!

Only a couple of weeks to wait for book 4 but I’m very impatient. Love his characters and the narration is excellent. I don’t know why but I immediately knew Embot was male, even with a female narrator.

Extremely interesting book Isaiah

This was one of the most unusual books I have ever listened to. However it was extremely interesting and excellent just like every other book I have ever read by Brandon Sanderson. I am however thoroughly aggravated that I cannot listen to the novella Evershore until The 28th of December when it comes out.
