The Story: Indya grew up enjoying summers at a Montana ranch with her family every year. On one of those summers she first met West when she was 8 and he was 10 and they pal'd around together during her trip. West's family owned the ranch and his grandparents were the ones to start it. We see over the years Indya and West's friendship and relationship grow and evolve as they become teens and into their early 20s. Now it's been 4 years since she's returned to Montana but she's back, as the new owner of his family's ranch!
Crossroads completely stole my heart. Devney Perry weaves a deeply emotional story of second chances, and what truly made this book unforgettable for me was the dual timeline. Watching Indya and West fall in love as young adults while also navigating the heartbreak and healing of their reunion years later created such a powerful emotional contrast. Every scene from their past added layers of meaning to their present, and it made their journey feel so real, raw, and earned.
The narration was fabulous! I mean Connor Crais + Samantha Brentmoor = Perfection! One of my favourite narrators. I definitely recommend checking out the audio I really loved it!
