About this listen

Meet Harry Dresden, Chicago's first (and only) Wizard PI. Turns out the "everyday" world is full of strange and magical things - and most of them don't play well with humans. That's where Harry comes in.

A bargain made with the Queen of Air and Darkness has forced Dresden into a new job: professional killer. His first task is to bring death to an immortal. As if that wasn't hard enough, Dresden learns of a danger to Demonreach, the living island hidden upon Lake Michigan. A danger that could destroy billions and land Dresden in the deepest trouble he has ever known.

Dresden has only 24 hours to gather the allies he has left and prevent a cataclysm - all while the power he bargained to get, but never meant to keep, lays siege to his very soul. Magic - it can get a guy killed.

Jim Butcher keep on giving more of what fans love about Dresden and his friends. A great formula, with great character progression.
And James Marsters gave another masterful performance.

Butcher just keeps on surprising.

Shattering and beautiful. So many threads weaving together. Characters challenged, developed and endangered. Leaves you wanting the next book.

Winter’s tale.

Loved it beat one so far, really a climax. With enough to wish for the next book.

Marsters' narration brings the story alive. Great yarn. As usual, Harry is in a spot of bother.

As always, pure entertainment

Absolutely loved this Dresden Files. The story is fast paced and development of all the characters other than Harry keeps your turning the pages. The unexpected twist at the end just makes me want to read the next book NOW!!!

Great story

Well, after the (IMO) disappointing “Ghost Stories”, Jim is back in top form with “Cold Days”. Plenty of humour and many hints dropped of epic challenges to come.

This book is back up there with those between 4-12.

James Marsters is, as always, excellent as our narrator, veering much closer to voice actor with his performance.

Butcher brings his A game

Amazing read. So many questions answered but so many more questions asked. Loved every minute of it.

Best one yet!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Even with this many books into the series, the author still manages to keep me in suspense multiple times throughout the book with the story. But more than anything else, the narrator's performance is beyond brilliant, not just the emotion conveyed, but the voice acting of all the different characters completely immerses you entirely

Brilliant
