On-Going Excitement
What a great listen! The storyline was good, albeit a bit gruesome, and the characters were real and believable. I found my emotions kicked in few times given the gravity of some of the events happening or had happened. I found it difficult to turn this one off, just wanted to keep listening. Karen Rose writes great books and I have just loaded another for what I expect will be another great listen.

Chilling!
I know many say these books are very long but I loved it and listened to it in just over a week - 23 hours! As I had read #3 the characters were familiar and I did not have difficulty following them, even if I hadn't been introduced to them I think I would have coped.
What a suspense, oh my the body count was horrific. The characters were great and the best of it I have the next book on my shelf to read this time. I thought the narrator was so-so, no character differentiation, however she didn't detract too much from the book, just didn't give it added value. 4.5 stars.

Any additional comments?
After seeing all those great reviews I was looking forward to listening to this book. But there were so many characters to try to keep up with and the plot was just completely unbelievable. Although I am quite willing to suspend my disbelief this story took it way too far. I did like the two main characters, but I felt sorry fir them being stuck in this silly story!

Great Thriller
I always fall slightly in love with the leading men in Karen Rose books, and this happened again with Deacon, FBI, haha.
A therapist is involved in a road accident when a naked, injured girl runs in front of her car. Already part of an ongoing stalking incident, the therapist is rightly terrified when she discovers bodies are being buried in her new house! Enter Deacon and the FBI trying to work out who the baddie is.

Thoroughly hooked!
The plot kept me guessing all the way through, narration was excellent. If I have one tiny complaint it's that there were a lot of raunchy parts to this story, which is fine when you're reading a book, but when you're listening out loud in the garden and you notice your neighbours have suddenly gone quiet. Ever so slightly embarrassed.

Exciting doesn't cover it
What did you like most about Closer Than You Think?
This was a real galloping story, little pause in the action. A reall "page turner"
What did you like best about this story?
Everything, but could have done with a little less graphic sex.
Have you listened to any of Susie James’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No, but was delighted with this performance
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Very much so, but it was just too long
Any additional comments?
