Publisher's Summary

Nothing worth having comes easy.

Rainier Hart knows all about hiding. He’s ready to burst out of the closet, consequences be damned. His first escape attempt failed, but he’s not done fighting. Back in his hometown, all he has are a few worthless buildings and a job on a construction crew. What he needs is a firm hand to guide him - and a family that doesn’t look down their noses at him.

Colt Fuller is everything Rain isn’t...or is he? Rich, muscular, commanding, and very much out of place in Hart’s Bay, he wants more than Rain's run-down warehouses. He wants the surprisingly defiant little twink who owns them, too. The pull between them is too strong to ignore, even with everything that’s on the line.

Rain and Colt are perfectly matched: right down to the secrets they'd each prefer to keep buried. Those secrets threaten the very foundations they begin to build a life together on.

Because nothing stays secret in Hart’s Bay, including how they really feel about each other. Can they see past the bluster and into each other’s hearts?

Changed Hart is the second book in the new Hart’s Bay series about a small town full of nosy but well-meaning neighbors and brotherly banter. It can be enjoyed on its own, and promises a happily-ever-after ending and plenty of smiles and steam along the way. Plus, because it's Rain, more sass than anyone expected.

Excellent! Loved the 🎧Audible version!💗

I read the kindle version of this in September, so when the ARC for the Audible came my way, I am not ashamed to say weakness grabbed hold and I snatched it. I love this series and the truth behind the fiction that speaks volumes, that even though change may be scary, it can happen in big ways if done in small doses over time. But, someone has to make that first step. This was my first book with narrator, Greg Boudreaux, and children lemme just tell you, I will be doing some research for more of what he is serving. I have found a new narrator and mmman oh man does he bring a nice dinner to an already beautifully set table. **momma likey...😁 The Story: 4🌟 The Narration: 4.50🌟 Sharonica Stars: 4.25✨ I received a complimentary copy of this Audio book in exchange for an honest review.🎄

Wow

Yeah, talk about troubled waters. Colt takes the last of his money and buys property in Hart's Bay. Thinking he needed to be someone else in order to get Rainier to cooperate he pretends to be this big time property developer. But as is his norm, Rainier's grandfather throws a spanner in the works and rips open everything to expose Colt and possibly ruin the delicate relationship he started forming with Rainier. Can they move past this? Listen to the story and find out. As always, Greg Boudreaux did an excellent job with the narration.

Harts Bay Series

E. Davies has brought a whole new level of value to his books by putting them into the audiobooks realm. I’ve read the books in print but this takes his books to a place that, in my opinion makes them close to like a stage production. The most important thing is the talent of the narrator because that person is who brings the book to life at least for me. I think that this may be true for other people who enjoy audiobooks. Bravo E. Davies I love your books & your Genre.

Trusting and Being Your True Self

Rain suspects everyone knows he is gay, but in order to avoid a total break with his family he never actually comes out. The trade-off is that he fled Hart's Bay for Colorado where he ended up with an abusive boyfriend that he had great difficulty breaking away from. He returns to Hart's Bay and takes a job on his cousin's construction crew in the first book in this series. In this book, Colt arrives in town looking to buy the warehouse near the wharf that Rain acquired from his grandfather after the near tragedy in book one. Colt wants to invest money he just got access to on his birthday from his late parents. Colt and Rain have instant chemistry but Colt is the product of numerous foster homes as a child and it is automatic for him to hide something very important about his life. Colt and Rain go into business and start a very hot, but very slow burning romance and just as things seem to be rolling along better than either man ever dreamed an evil from Rain's past discovers Colt's secret and makes Rain question Colt's intentions and makes Hart's Bay question the legitimacy of the development. The result is not what the evil plotter expects, the town rallies around Rain and Colt (even Lucille the seal) and Rain finally stands up to his family in a stand up and cheer phone call. Greg Boudreaux's narration is as wonderful here as it was in book one and during the break-up/apology scenes he will absolutely break your heart with the pain he transmits. He is equally adept and communicating the joy Colt and Rain feel when they are together. There is a scene in the bar when Rain and Colt are first seriously negotiating their partnership that is a master class in using double entendre. The author wrote it masterfully and Greg Boudreaux's narration brings out both the sexiness and the humor as both men clearly realize what is going on. An amazing job of writing and performing! Another superb story with more sadness than we saw in Hard Hart and an equally happy ending for our guys both personally and professionally. Can't wait to listen to the third book in the series.

Ed and Greg a perfect match

Rain is in hiding, he has a failed attempt at a relationship and came home to a family who don't care. He needs a man to guide him and in walks Colt, a want to be property developer who wants to develop Rains warehouses. A relationship soon blossoms and Rain makes a family of his own from friends and family that had been pushed aside. Can't wait to continue their journey through the series.

love it!

Changed Hart is the second book in the Hart's Bay series by E. Davies. Colt and Rain are great characters that drew me in right off. I loved their story. Sweet, sexy, funny...with a little drama but a lot of hart. Narration is done by Greg Bourdreaux. Clear and smooth recording with fantastic voicework. Easy to get lost in the story.

Loved it!!

I loved this story. Colt was sweet and domineering and I am glad Rain made up with Finn and the other side of Hart family. I laughed so hard at the slippery sex scene!! The narrator was amazing as well. I loved his version of Colt...so sexy!!

Secrets are revealed

Rainier is determined to take back his life and live it to the fullest. Colt is determined to make something of himself. As these two men work together to forge a new future, they must work through the secrets that have held both of them back. All the characters in this book is so realistic that you will find yourself confused that you're not walking besides them. I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it and can't wait for more.

Enjoyable

E. Davies’ books are always a good solid dependable read/listen and this was no exception. Changed Hart is the second in the Hart’s Bay Series and I suppose you could read it as a stand-alone as I did, as I haven’t read the first in the series, Hard Hart, but there are situations and circumstances that run into book 2 that would be much clearer by reading/listening to them in order and so improve your enjoyment. In this book the main characters Rain and Colt have a working relationship which develops very quickly into something hot, heavy and sexy. They compliment each other and build on each other’s strengths. I’ll definitely go back and catch up on book one to fill in on som missing pieces.

Sweet Rain!

Rain is from the other side of the Hart family. On the first book, he sounded a bit suspicious but this book frees his character from sin. He partners with Colt to invest in Hart’s bay. Their romance is slow burning and sizzling. I felt Colt and his past, his strength in making something out of himself. Rain and his understanding nature, loving and fierce. Loved it!

The builder and the property developer

I've had the pleasure of enjoying the first book in this series too, which introduces the characters involved and the larger plot involving a long-standing family feud. Greg Boudreaux does an excellent job of bringing the guys and the story to life. This book is about Rainier, the cousin of the MC from the first book, and how he comes round to the kinder side of the family. He now owns several properties in Hart's Bay after forcing his mean grandfather's hand during the events of the first book in the series. Colt is interested in one of the Warehouse properties and convinces Rainier to go in with him to develop the property to the benefit of them both. The two men are hiding secrets, but will revealing the truth set them free or cause disaster? And, of course, the mean grandfather tries to throw a spanner in the works, cause chaos and upset. Highly recommended Contemporary MM romance by the lovely Ed Davies, who creates such wonderfully complex and interesting characters.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening. it's like a B

Oh, so good!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5 stars 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 4 🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 4.5 Not the pairing I thought but oh, so good!!! From the end of the last Hart’s Bay Novel, I thought Rain would be with his friend and co-worker but Ed surprised us with a new pairing ready to shake up Rain’s life and the Hart’s Bay they know. I really liked the nuances between Colt and Rain and I really did feel they were perfect for each other. They could give and take, push and pull and be what each other needed. Of course, there’s the despicable meddling and nastiness from Grandpa Hart but thankfully Rain is able to break free from his awful parents and grandfather and make a new family with the resident gays and his cousin. It takes a lot and is a trying process for Rain to understand and accept these guys as his new, true, family but his journey and process to get there is beautifully written and so heartwarming you’ll fall in love with this collection of colorful characters too. I look forward to many more stories from Hart’s Bay as this group of beautiful souls find their happily ever afters too. I loved it and can’t wait for more!!! Thanks for reading!

Secrets and misrepresentations

Being in the closet is never easy. When you live in Hart’s Bay and you’re one of those Harts, life is even more complicated. Rainier – better known as Rain – is looking to make a place for himself in his hometown and when developer Colt Fuller comes to town, looking for properties to renovate, Rain sees the perfect chance. They agree to be business partners and embark upon the endeavor, dedicated to succeeding. Each man has a secret, though, and secrets are always lurking, ready to spring out and create chaos. I am enjoying the Hart’s Bay series. I love small town romances that are fairly low-angst. E. Davies always delivers on the promise of a nice story with interesting characters. Not every Hart has good intentions and some who were once seen as adversaries are soon becoming more than just those Harts. As I said, coming out of the closet is never easy and when family secrets are revealed, Rain is shocked. That coupled with the secret Colt has been hiding leaves him reeling. But he has friends to support him and show him that maybe rushing to judgement isn’t always the right thing to do. I enjoy Greg Boudreaux’s narration of this series. He and E. Davies work well together, delivering great books that guarantee a happy ending. There are more Hart’s Bay books to come and I can’t wait.

Great

Great addition to the series. This one is hot stuff. Rain is closeted, coming from the 'bad' side of the Hart family, but readers of the first book would know it was implied he was fooling around with one of the other construction workers. However, this is not the relationship explored in this book. When Rain meets Colt the attraction is instantaneous and as a listener you can feel this come through in every scene, even when they are talking about property development. E Davies' books are very physical and this one has some hot kinky scenes. Love the small town setting and the close knit community vibe. The narrator does an excellent job with this book.

lovely story

This was a great story. Full of acceptance (of yourself and others), of building trust and a loving relationship. I liked Rain and Cold. They are both very insecure but ready to love. I loved their relationship and the way it developed. Greg Boudreaux is, as always, amazing. He really brought both of them (and the side characters) to life. overall a wonderful audiobook that I really recommend
