I'm a huge fan of the series, which keeps getting better with every book. I'm looking forward to the next three audiobooks coming out, which the author is currently setting up a kickstarter to pay the narrators to do their thing. The narrators really make these books come to life. When I read the books for the first time, I was thinking the bad guys are really bad, and the author is doing a good job to build them up as real villains. When I listened to the audiobooks, I was so enraged at the villains for what they were doing, I wanted to throw my phone at the wall. They do such a great job with the emotions of the characters that you have to feel something in response.

A great listen, especially if you like hard magic systems with a little gamelit number crunch, but the story is primarily character and story driven like a fantasy novel. It has Arthurian legend themes that gives the world a feeling of age and depth with plenty of new ideas to make it fresh. Enjoy. I have already bought the three books individually and got this to support the auther. this series is great and I look forward to all future releases. well worth multiple listens and highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying it out.
