About this listen

Kai

I’m a single dad and starting pitcher for Chicago’s MLB team. I’m stretched too thin, but I don’t want help raising my son.

Each of his previous nannies only lasted a few weeks before I let them go. Now, my coach is putting his foot down by hiring the one person I can’t fire—his daughter.

Miller Montgomery is the last woman I should fall for. Too wild, too young, and too unattached.

Chicago is just a quick stop for her. I thought I’d be counting down the days until she left, but summer feels too short when I start thinking about forever.

Miller

As a high-end pastry chef who recently won the most prestigious award in my industry, I’m desperate to prove I deserve it. But with a new title comes new pressure, and I can’t create a fresh and inspiring dessert to save my life.

With only two months to get back on track, I should be focusing in the kitchen, but instead, I let my dad talk me into using my time off to nanny for his star player’s kid.

Kai Rhodes forgot how to have fun, and I’m eager to jog his memory. But when he and his son start to feel like home, I have to remind us both that my time in Chicago ends with the summer.

Besides, I’ve always been a runner, and the last thing I want is to get caught.

Loved the story worth the read. The female narrator is really good. The male narrator started to bug me with these random laugh thing that he dose.

Far out there are few things hotter I’ve found than a single dad sports player as a trope. Kai Rhodes is dreamy protective dad and Miller is fiercely independent woman! I loved the tension and steam in this book and growth in the characters as the book went on.

The banter between Kai and Miller and the rest of the team and staff was just perfection. Cannot get enough of all these characters.

Baseball Daddy just did it for me 🫠

Obviously I loved it because I finished it. It’s binge-worthy fun and frankly, good for these characters.

But - review title! She literally calls MMC “Baseball Daddy” in front of HER FATHER, yet her internal monologue is full of worrying about impressing her father.

Not much else to say. It’s hard to hate, as long as you don’t think too much about it.

I just don’t get how a 25 year old is that insecure but also that confident?

The story is adorable and steamy. Lots of great banter and feel good moments.
The narration is really nice

Great story great listen

As much as I have liked the narration of Alex Kydd in other books, he was not the correct choice for this character. He didn’t portray the older, more serious tone of Kai’s character effectively. And his noises for the female part were annoying. The female narrator was great though.
The story, spice and side characters were all good, but this was my least favourite in the series so far.

Male narrator not right for this book

What a beautiful love story. If you're after lots of love, character growth and wonderful support characters.... oh and a cute as a button kid, this book is for you.

So sweet I got a toothache

I'm such a sucker for a single dad and a strong female lead—and Caught Up delivered both perfectly.

I absolutely loved Kai and Miller! They had me laughing, crying, and swooning from start to finish. Their chemistry and emotional depth were everything I look for in a great romance.

Megan Wicks & Alex Kydd did an amazing job of this book.

Not me diving straight into book 4 now!

So much love for this whole series so far

I read this and it was the first book to ever make me cry, and I can say hearing it!!! I was a mess! This book is easily my favourite in the series. I adore it

This was my favourite book of the Windy City series so far. You can’t help but get attached to the characters. Kai was a nice surprise, I didn’t expect to like him as much.
Not particularly fond of any of the narrators in this series, they haven’t seemed very well cast, but I enjoyed the stories enough to keep going and will definitely look out for the next instalment.

Will I read the next book in the series: 👍

♥️ baseball player
♥️ nanny
♥️single dad

The third instalment of the Windy City series following Kai and his new nanny Miller. I enjoyed the story and it has depth, I just didn’t love it as much as the other two books. I felt the first two books had more laugh out loud moments and tension, which I loved. Still overall a good read, just not as great as book 1 IMO.
