Kennedy:
I’m the only woman on staff for the Windy City Warriors, and after years of putting up with a sexist lead doctor, I’m desperate to land my dream job with a new team next year. All I have to do is maintain my professional reputation for my final season in Chicago. But a Las Vegas run-in with the team’s shortstop threatens it all, leaving me with a fuzzy memory and a ring on my left hand. Now, not only am I legally bound to the most persistent man I’ve ever met, but thanks to Isaiah’s scheme to save my job, I have to pretend the whole thing was a planned elopement and not a drunken mistake. Isaiah Rhodes is reckless, impulsive, and frustratingly charming. He’s also my brand-new husband. They got the saying wrong. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas…sometimes it follows you right back home.
Isaiah:
As the shortstop for Chicago’s professional baseball team, I’ve had my fair share of fun. But that all ended the day Kennedy Kay became a single woman. I’ve crushed on the team’s athletic trainer for years. I’ve flirted to no avail, so imagine my surprise when I woke up in Sin City with a ring on my finger and my favorite redhead in my bed. We agree to stay married for one baseball season, just long enough to keep her job safe, but in my mind, I’m using our time together to prove to her I’m husband material. Kennedy might be reluctant to join in on our game, but it’s one I refuse to lose. So come on, wife…play along.

✧˚ · . Liz Tomforde continues to craft amazing, swoony love stories that I can't help but love. Play Along is charming, funny, heart-warming, and wholesome down to its core.
This book follows Kennedy and Isaiah who we've met in the previous book ( Caught Up) Isaiah is Kai’s little brother while Kennedy is an athletic trainer for the windy city warriors. Isaiah has always had a crush on Kennedy and whenever he comes close to her, he tries his best to flirt constantly. It's so endearing and cute because he's so infatuated with her.
I absolutely adored this book. ADORED. Out of the Three I've read in this series, this is definitely my favorite. Isaiah is so caring, sweet, but also really *fans myself* hot. MY GOD!
The plot might not be earth shattering, but for me, it's downright beautiful because of how well it's written. The chemistry between the main characters makes this book even better. I love the idea that he saw her and knew he'd marry her. He really believed in fate
Liz always writes great character development, and this time was no exception. The fact that he waited 3 years for her because he didn't know she wasn't engaged to that other guy!
"Will you pick a favorite color for me?"
"Yellow." "Yellow."
"Why yellow?"
"It's like you. Bright. Happy." Reminds me of the sun.
Liz truly thank you for this amazing book, I love this series more than any other series
Isaiah Rhodes Forget everything you thought you knew about Isaiah because baby he is HUSBAND MATERIAL, MOST OF ALL, HE'S A CONSENT KING AND EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH KENNY, got me tearing up along with her. An unbothered man and his heartwarming crush against the world.
Samantha brentmoor and Jacob Morgan my gosh! I was in tears more than once. This story has so much heart, and Liz Tomforde does an incredible job weaving together laughter, vulnerability, and slow-burn romance that feels authentic and deeply moving. The dual narration brings the main characters to life with vivid personality and emotional depth The audiobook narration took the experience to another level. Jacob Morgan and Samantha Brentmoor were absolutely phenomenal as Isaiah and Kennedy. Their voices fit the characters perfectly, and the chemistry between them was electric. They didn’t just read the story—they brought it to life. Every emotion, every pause, every moment of heartbreak and joy was so vivid that I felt like I was right there with them.
