great book
seriously, the best book on cardio, diet, loosing weight, and not muscle, I've ever read. it has clear, science-backed, advise and rules to accomplishing all of the above mentioned things. plus it has some great ideas for cardio that aren't your traditional cardio. and if that isn't enough for you there is some awesome bonus material.

Great book.
This, like Michael's other book is a great addition to any fitness library. I wasn't sure if it was just going to be a repeat of B.L.S. And was relieved to find it full of good information not found in his other book.

It works!
I'm a 30 year old woman & have already been doing some of Michael Matthews advice. I tried some things in this book new to me, so far it all works. I love the no nonsense, no drug, science backed, natural facts, food, & workout advice. It works. Michael Matthews is telling the truth. Im currently 24% body fat on my way below 20%.

Life Changing Information
At 51 years old I was tipping the scale at 330lbs. It was getting scary. Doctor told me I was prediabetic and that if I didn't lose weight I wouldn't be around much longer. I had tried Atkins and the cookie diet only to gain the weight back as soon as I got off the diets. I joined a gym and hired a trainer. The very first day she took my phone and put in an app that kept track of my calories, protein, carbs and fat. She knew what she was talking about but I had no clue. I knew that if I understood what these things did to my body it would be easier to stick to the plan she devised for me. So I searched Audible for a book that would explain all of this stuff. Thank God I found Cardio Sucks. I listened to this book while I rode my bike. It energized me. Mike breaks down why these things work for your body and what you need to do to lose weight and keep the muscle you have. The best part is he explained I could still eat the foods I loved as long as I hit the targets my trainer had placed in the app for me. Once I understood HOW protein and carbs and the other macronutrients worked for me, the weight started falling off. I only spend three hours a week in the gym and have dropped from 330 to 290 in eight weeks. The education I received from this book very well could have saved my life! I'm eating "better" now because I don't eat near as much and I keep track of everything I put in my mouth so I know how it will react in my body. For those of you who say, "I don't want to record everything I eat" then I say to you that you don't really want to help yourself. That's the same laziness that helped you put on the extra weight in the first place! IT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE! 40lbs in eight weeks! and I'm eating 2280 calories a day! I'm never hungry! Please, do yourself a favor and buy this book. Mike does an incredible job teaching you how to get healthier eating the foods you love. Its not a diet to me. Its just a new way of life that gives me the energy I was lacking. It gave me my life back!

Like most people I would watch YouTube videos Look at Instagram fitness models and try to repeat or interpret what they would do in order to have a great physique And stay lean. this book Is amazing and teaches you a lot more than any YouTube video I've ever seen.

A very good book, especially if you aren't familiar with the author's other books.
I really enjoy Michael Matthews approach to health and fitness. I learned a lot from this book and Bigger, Leaner, Stronger.

Practical, common sense information that can be put to use immediately. As a retired veteran. and a formally avid fitness enthusiast I can say that this is great information.. After 5 yrs of virtually zero fitness activity I am ready to get back in shape. Hard for a soon to be 59 yr old, both I am determine to be in the best shape of my life by my 60th birthday.

No nonsense advice that works
Advice that is backed by science, and actually works. It cuts through all the BS on the fitness industry and makes what works easy to understand and follow. Very well narrated, and I couldn’t recommend the Micheal Matthews series of books enough. Well worth it if you want to step up to the next level in your fitness journey.
