About this listen

Cara Truman is a pint-size pistol whose inquisitive nature has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. Her next adventure takes her further than she even expected when she ends up on a journey out of this world.

Trelon Reykill thought he had his hands full. A militant group of Curizans captured his brother Zoran, he's busy fortifying the Valdire defenses against the Sarafin warriors, and his dragon is roaring for him to find a mate. The last thing he expects to find on the primitive planet his brother has taken refuge on is his true mate.

Now Trelon must capture Cara long enough to make her his, but his symbiosis loves her, his dragon wants her, and someone is trying to kill her. Trelon must love Cara so well that she will never want to escape him - if he can catch her.

My favourite of the Alliance series. A woman with sass and a storyline that avoids the "no means yes" trope that so many romance novels use, and that therefore really gets a bit rapey. Instead this book has a compelling plot and more realistic characters.

My favourite SE Smith book so far

Great entertainment listening to this book in audible but sometimes the narrator is a bit monotone for my tastes. BOOK REVIEW Another wonderful read from Ms Smith. I laughed so much at Cara’s antics. Cara is hyper to the nth degree and is driving Trelon mad. He has no idea how to deal with an earth woman, let along one like Cara who can run rings around all these seasoned warriors and make them wish for a quick death. We have a background story running as well which is getting interesting. I just loved this book the first time I read it and feel the same about the rest of the series. I have owned this book for ages and read this series over and over and never tire of them. I have written this review as I now understand the importance of them to help authors work be acknowledged and apologise to Ms Smith for taking so long to do so.

Great entertainment listening to this book.
