For years, the biggest threat that Yellowstone was thought to offer was in the form of its semi-dormant super volcano. Little did anyone realize the threat was real and slowly working its way to the surface, but not in the form of magma. Lying deep within the bowels of the Earth itself, an ancient virus waited. Recently credited with the extinction of Neanderthal man, the virus erupts into a crowded Yellowstone. I found this one a bit simple, the premise is new yes, but then it becomes same old, same old. Yes, rip roaring zombies but they've probably been done a little more originally with stronger writing. Felt like we had to cram in some bad language, cram in some lewdness just to tick the boxes. Characters were simplistic. Take it or leave it for me, probably wont be following the series forward for now. Felt a little like maybe this is the first book for the author?? Not sure, just a little amateurish amongst what is out there in the genre. Narration didnt bring anything much to the table but didnt detract either.
