I was confused about this one. The story and plot had so much potential… but I also agree with all the negative points mentioned in other reviews. very slow plot progression, there’s no real character development. You don’t learn much about the bonds to make you fall in love with them.l, But the potential for the story to get great had me listening to the end…. I’m now into the third book and I can confirm it definitely gets better in the following books! I’m addicted now

Very boring 1st instalment until the final chapter when something happens. I’ll read the next book because maybe the story can start now. But I flicked through this first book very quickly. And the “I’m a monster my power is so strong I can’t let people know my true power I must protect them by running away” trope is really over done here.
