Wow! I absolutely love this series. I’m on the third read and it’s still just as good as the first time. It so addictive, you will not be able to stop reading! It’s written superbly with great character development. It ticks all the boxes- action, humour, romance, spice!!!! ❤️🌶️🔥

Honestly was only listening to this to have something playing in the background while I cleaned…I was hooked from right from the start and am so relieved that I was unable to predict ANYTHING!

I really enjoyed the first book in the Bonds that Tie series. It set up the world and characters well and started to add little snippets in, here and there, to keep me interested until the end. The ending has definitely made me keen to jump into book 2 straight away.

This first book is all told from Oleander's POV.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The audio was all done by a female voice, and she handled the male voices quite well. I'm interested to see how the audio for book 2 will go with the addition of a male voice.

Great world and character building in book 1

This was my second attempt at this book,I found the beginning a bit difficult, how mean they were to her,how she could have just told them the truth or explained it to them. I came around with this second read though, the plot started to come together and some connections were starting to come together. The idea predetermined bonds has an interesting flair in this book along with the hints of them being designed to keep the hierarchy, the plot thickens!

I enjoyed the concept and the tension that built between the characters. Also enjoyed the world-building and pacing. The biggest nope moment I had was at the end. The majority of the book was her not telling anyone why she had run away and that she was trying to protect everyone but then, in the end, says 'I refuse" to let them take her friend and hands herself over in an impulse after essentially being on the run her whole life and forsaking anyone else affected by her absence. It just didn't make sense to me after it was repeatedly written how scared she was of them getting a hold of her and her power to just give it up for one friend and action that could end up killing her friend anyway since her being caught is the end of the world? Felt pushed for the plot and all logic was lost.

At first I thought this wasn’t the first book in the series, as I was confused to the lack of information about Ollie’s gift. But as the story progressed it made a lot more sense.
It’s easy listening, typical love but can’t have kinda story.

A must read. Wonderful characters, drawing back stories and many mysteries to have to finish to find out. If it were possible would love this as a TV series one day.

When I first read this book and listened to it one thing came to mind each time, Is Ole being selfish or selfless when hiding her gift and running from her bonded? I loved this book the first time I got to experience and I still love it now (3rd time re-read/listen)
