A must read. Wonderful characters, drawing back stories and many mysteries to have to finish to find out. If it were possible would love this as a TV series one day.

I had read some poor reviews for the second book, which made me pessimistic.
I absolutely loved the nightmare creature, Brutus, and loved how Ollie and her bonds are developing through this story.

my only complaint is that there is only a prologue from the male perspective but everything else was great.
story pacing is excellent for a book you know is part of a series.

The story is worth it all. The quirks the defined female lead who talks the narration is so fluid and the little details that each character has and develops is brilliance and as a audio book. I’m super pleased with the narrator as I found her easy to listen and flowed in sync with the book. I have struggled with other book that I’ve read are brilliance but cringe worthy when listened to. Top marks to both the writer and narrator.

Book 2 was just as good as book 1. There was more fleshing out with the relationships and the world, and it just kept me even more intrigued.

There is low spice, but it is completely within the storyline and does not detract from it at all.

It's great to see Oleander become more comfortable with her bonds. I especially enjoy her interaction with the nightmare creatures Brutus and Augustine.

There was even some involvement with having a couple of chapters from the bonds' POV and not just Oleander's POV. I'm hoping to get more of that in book 3.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio for both the female POV chapters and male POV chapters.
