About this listen

David Brin, the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author of Sundiver, crafts Brightness Reef, a luminous gem of science-fiction literature.

Persecuted refugees from six separate alien races have migrated to the idyllic planet Jijo. And despite their incredible diversity, the inhabitants live together in blissful harmony. However, settlement on Jijo is illegal - and it's only a matter of time before the residents of this forbidden paradise are discovered by the galactic powers-that-be.

Marvellous and touching, one of my favourite space operas. George Wilson is a talented voice actor who brings the many characters and races to life... A modern parable for how we can all live together despite a harrowing past...

A great book, with a talented voice actor

Nearly didn't continue on with this story due to the weird narration. The first chapter is in the voice of an alien being hence the strange narrative style. Great story well performed

Fantastic story well written and performed

Boring, slow and hard to follow. I gave this book 5 hours to get into it and just ended up giving up. The narrator is boring and the story has nothing going for it.

Rubbish
