I forgot about this authors writing style and I seriously struggled to finish it.
everything is too quick in the beginning ...lose your virginity, fall in love, her pregnant, get married all in 2 months.???? didn't do it for me. the storyline was on the way to being a good suspense, then dissolved into mush....the family, the jobs the boys held, their past.....didn't come over as convincing.....not again with this author...she should stick to simple family and babies and HEA'S.
The narrator's...I've heard better

Despite some negative reviews I gave it a shot because I have listened to other Dixie Warden sets.
I really enjoyed this story and all the characters involved. Now onto book 2 with Gabe & Embers story.
Well worth giving a try.

wow what a wonderful story this was to listen to. I loved the characters and I'm really hoping that book number two will be out soon.

This was by far one of the best books I have listened to in a long while. The narration was calm and steady and funny at times while the storey line had great flow. The characters were funny.

About 3 hours too long. Shyanne was just an annoying useless angry upcoming “Karen”. Story was boring and anticlimactic.
