Publisher's Summary

A blind date. A nervous sorority girl. A mean-spirited fraternity prank. What could go wrong?

As a sorority pledge, there are commandments that Katie Vickery must live by. One: Thou shalt not show up for the party without a date. Two: The guy shall be an athlete, preferably an upperclassman.

Unfortunately, Katie just broke up with her jerkface football player boyfriend. Even worse, her last encounter with him resulted in utter humiliation. She'd rather hide under the bed than attend a party where he'll be.

Yet staying home would mean letting him win.

Enjoying herself was out of the question. She could only hope to get through the evening without her blind date noticing that he was spending the evening with a crazy person.

Andrew Baschnagel is living proof that nice guys don't finish first. He's had his eye on Katie since the moment her long legs waltzed into his art history class. So when her roommate sets Andy up to be Katie's date, he'd be crazy to say no.

Well worth your money! Sweet & well done!

Andrew Isaac Baschnagel. Now THAT'S a name of a guy I'm interested in. *Jew Alert*

I've really enjoyed each and every book in this series, especially the to DIE for The Understatement of the Year, which is expertly narrated, BTW, and Blonde Date was another good one. Again, Saskia Maarleveld does a decent job reading, but there is something about her voice that sounds too old for NA to me. Nick Podehl was awesome again as the slightly dorky and awesome Andy.

What impressed me most about this book was the fab sex-positive message (even when you are doubting yourself- every girl has been there!), and the lovely beta hero male MC. I am totally gaga over a beta man, and a Jewish beta man who plays sports?! Now I'm verklempt!

Short, sweet, and well done, I hope we get more stories out of these characters in the future. Awesome again, Sarina Bowen!

Short and Sweet!

I am so glad we got this little glimpse into Andy! I liked him in book 2 and I loved him in this book. He is a little geeky and a good guy who thought he'd never have a chance with his dream girl. Katie finally realizes that she likes a guy who treats her well and doesn't hesitate to grab a hold with both hands. This is a short story but I liked getting to read about the date that Scarlet set up for these too. He was so nervous it was sweet and funny and she was honest with him which I loved even more.

Another great narration job by Nick Podehl & Saskia Maarleveld!

So funny with a bit of a lesson

This is the cutest little story about Andy and Katie's first date and the events surrounding it. It also is a lesson in choices and consequences. The icing on top was the audiobook narrators! They were fantastic in making it the banter between Andy and Katie really great to listen to
Loved the Novella and the audiobook!

Cute

Actually a cute story. The male narrator totally sold the character and I could feel his total infatuation with our heroine. Short and sweet and left me wanting more. Sarina Bowen never disappoints with her writing.

Sweet book and nice set up for the world

This is a novella and I listened in prep for the rest of the series. Also, I'd like to note that I first heard Nick Podehl in The Consequence Series by Rachel Van Dyken and I loved him. So, when someone told me he did this as well, I had to listen.

I love his narration. Kind of dorky, plenty of fun humor in his voice and I really thought it worked with the story, especially with Andy. He also did great female voices. Andy, a basketball player, is slightly dorky but so so sweet. I love this type of character almost as much as I love the alpha characters but it's just too sweet. He has a crush on Katie and Katie and he go to a sorority party. He's kind of her psychological protection from some frat boys who treated her awfully. And they were really cute together.

Saskia has a beautifully smooth voice- a little older than I would expect from a younger female character. There's also a huge difference in feeling between Nick and Saskia. I mean, Nick has insane comedic effect and Saskia has a gorgeously smooth voice. But overall, I really enjoyed the book and both their renditions of the characters. ha

Silly sex voice

My only problem that I had with this was the silly send voice that that male had during the one sex scene. It took away any sexiness that he had during the scene.

Short but so sweet

I would've loved a little more of this one, just because it was such a feel good story. Andy is such a sweet, wonderful guy who you just have to root for. It would've been great to just get a little more, showing him gaining more confidence in his new relationship. However, even though it is very short, it's enough for a good quick pick me up and to just make me feel good.

Fantastically fun!

Loved this quick listen with Katie and Andy’s story and hope we hear more about them as side characters in the subsequent Ivy Years books. The narration was great, especially during the “climax.” 😂

Cutest love story ever 😍

The main characters are so cute together! I wish the book was longer. Not that it was unfulfilling so much as I wish I could hear more of their cute interactions. I would kill for a guy to think of me the way he does. He would hang the moon for her.

Very cute story. Not like most of the stories I read of hers. Wonderful author.

Enjoyable listen

Short but sweet. Andy was surprisingly attractive considering his dorky character, and I think that came down to his confidence about who he was. It’s allllllll about confidence, guys!
