Story
Deep in the tainted lands of the Eightpoints, a child is born during an apocalyptic storm. As omens and prophecies swirl around it, with Archaon himself marking the boy, a brutal hunt begins, each warband striving to claim the child for their own ends. To Burak the Bloodseer and his Untamed Beasts, the child must be found and destroyed. To Ashrath Silenthis and his Splintered Fang, it is Archaon’s heir and a means of buying his favour. In the deathly realm of Shyish, the Twinned Towns of Westreach and Eastdale exist on the edge of annihilation. It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. Within this book you will find Hammerhal, a fantastic new novella from Josh Reynolds: Dark forces stir within the bowers of the mysterious Hexwood. A great warhost of Tzaangor beastkin, creatures devoted to Tzeentch, the Architect of Fate, defile the once verdant lands of Ghyran. All that opposes them are the noble Stormcast Eternals of the Hallowed Knights. Reforged in resplendent sigmarite and wielding the lightning of Azyr, few can stand against these heroes. Also within this book is a host of awesome short stories giving you a flavour of the many warring armies that exist within the worlds of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Publisher's Summary
In the perilous jungles just north of the great city of Hammerhal Aqsha, Chaos reigns. There, a powerful Tzeentchian wizard grows in disciples and in might as his maledictions leach all that is good from the land. It is Neave Blacktalon, first of Sigmar’s Knights-Zephyros, who must vanquish this foe.
Yet the huntress soon realises that even the glow of the Twin-Tailed City cannot protect her from the darkness. Blighted by terrible visions, she fears that her very spirit has been tainted. Blacktalon must choose whether to abandon her duty in the quest for a cure or face the fearsome judgment of the Sacrosanct chamber.

Interesting Story and strong reading
this is the first book were I got in to the characters so much I could feel the loss and the pain they felt. Emma Gregory is a awesome reader. She really has a range of voices and I have loved her in this but as much as the Naghast book. Very cool enjoyable story.

Nothing of note here
There was very little to draw you into this story.
The mystery was easily guessable within the first hour or so, and the characters were all rather flat and unsympathetic. Points to them at least bringing worries for a Stormcast that would go beyond the next re-forging.

Age of Sigmar Through Female Eyes
I enjoyed this book, it involves Stormcast (knights in armour), Sylvaneth (forest spirits) and Nurgle (disease worshiping knights) with a few Skaven (ratmen) on the side. The story is centred around Neave Blacktalon one of the first female Stormcast we have seen and it talks about her origins and her place in the Stormcast. It's nice to hear stories about heroic women and their motives (which aren't the usual predictable ones). There's plenty of action and grim situations and a few cliffhangers making me wonder how the characters are going to get out of their latest bit of trouble. The only slight annoyance is that the reader sometimes 'swallows' her voice and is a bit too quiet but that depends on what you are doing whilst listening. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
