About this listen

Hannah has a routine. Wake up, take a shower, go to school, go to work, come home, and pass out.

It's a perfectly normal routine for a perfectly normal girl who does not have to remember how her limbs work every morning because of haunting nightmares of being a very different creature in a very different world. That's all she thinks they are—nightmares—until one night, they're all too lucid, and her body on Earth starts to change. Slowly, Hannah's humanity starts to slip away... but surely she can continue just sticking to the routine, right? It'll be fine. It has to be.

A mix of urban and traditional fantasy, Bioshifter is a story in two worlds, with magic leaking in from one to the other. It's a story about love, self-acceptance, neurodivergence, and a whole lot of trauma. Strap in and enjoy!

I love urban fantasy, it's my favourite genre but after you have read the 10th book following the same story progression and with all the same troups it can get a bit stale. This book is so far from normal and I LOVE IT!. it's crazy and wacky and goes places no one else dares to go. Having a fiction book like this delve into neurodiversity not just give it lip service is also something I really appreciate. This is a book for "the rest of us" and I feel seen! can't wait for the next one.

ps love the Narator!

I am so glad this book exists!

Very engaging narrative + Thundermoo at it again dishing out trauma to the main character. Cant wait for the next book.

My only real suggestion would be useing more than 1 voice actor to vary up the dialogue however the current one still does an excellent job and i guess thats not everyones preference.

The fact that I can't help but wriggle and look at my fingertips as I hear her describes her budding claws on her bleeding fingers in the story, is a fantastic indication of how much I’ve got into this story and how much I’m enjoying this audiobook.
“how lovely, I guess I get to eat more of my discarded flesh today”

The main character is really interesting and funny and the surrounding characters are all great too, I wish I knew them in real life.

Anyhow, this is a really fun story brought to life by a fantastic narrator.
I highly recommend this audiobook series, its so fun and so different.
