Publisher's Summary

Wanjirũ works too hard on her real estate career. But except for many acquittances, and her recent phenomenon of stories bubbling in her head, she doesn’t feel a sense of connection or any personal belonging besides making a living. All this work and no play stress her to the limit.

Desperate for an escape, and with no preparation whatsoever, she flies to Venice, Italy. After she spends a wonderful day touring Venice and its canals, she boards a cruise ship to the Greek Islands. Relaxed while she enjoys the cruise amenities, Wanjirũ is happy with her spontaneous decision. Not until she reaches Santorini that one of her choices turns out quite reckless. But there is no going back; she has to press on. After all, in this part of the world, she’s the only one she’s got.

Soon, she gives up on her fight-or-flight state and begs for a miracle. When you are all alone, there is nothing scarier than a state of total helplessness.
