Es ist das sogenannte Gespinst, der Lebensraum der menschenähnlichen Mehandor.
Perry Rhodan und seine Begleiter sind auf die Hilfe der Mehandor angewiesen. Diese haben allerdings ihre eigenen Vorstellungen darüber, wie die Bezahlung erfolgen soll. Die Spannungen spitzen sich zu, als eine Raumflotte auftaucht. Die Raumschiffe sind mit Naats bemannt, den monströs aussehenden Söldnern des Arkon-Imperiums. Die Naats zögern nicht und eröffnen das Feuer. Als sich die Kämpfe aus dem All auf die Eiswelt Snowman verlagern, kommt es zu einer menschlichen Tragödie...
