A Masterpiece that takes nothing away from the Album, infact it is so complimentary, to me it seems shocking that this wasn't done along time ago... it's production values should now set a new benchmark for Audiobooks...

Was drawn to this audiobook by the promise of some soothing Michael Sheen voice acting, but was soon overtaken by the goosebump inducing orchestral-rock masterpiece that accompanied it (although Michael Sheen does not disappoint as usual). So glad this was made more accessible to new generations from what must have been an extremely progressive production back in the 70s, a few decades before I was born. A classic story that all must listen to in this format.

I remember listening to my dad’s record of the War of the Worlds by Wayne as a child and it always stuck with me. This longer radio play to the tune of the record’s soundtrack was a brilliant addition. Enjoyed every minute of it

This is the best audio version of War of the Worlds that I have listened to. With background music by Jeff Wayne that is so well known to War of the Worlds fans.

An amazing adaption of the musical. Grew up with it and saw the live version. This adaption is fantastic. Puts yourself in the story. Richard Burton would have been proud. Next a movie adaptation?
