Elves were supposed to be gone, defeated in the great war. Magic is practiced behind closed doors, and only by the elites. All I was trying to do was survive, maybe with a bit more curiosity about my master's magic than I should've allowed. He caught me snooping, and sent me on a quest to steal a magic scroll. A quest that would change my life.

Publisher's Summary
The Archides are dead. Damrich has won. Damrich’s superweapon, the Harvenger, and his ancient monster Roanoke plague the human race, keeping everyone living in fear.
Only small pockets of resistance to Damrich remain. They are divided and lack the resources and manpower to seriously challenge the world dictator. There is no leader with the strength to unite them.
As far as anyone knows, Oryan Jeckstadt, the Warlord of Navarus died on Akon years ago. With the world in chaos, most barely remember his name.
Alone and out of time, Oryan must pull out all the stops to break the chains of Damrich. He fights for the dying embers of hope that he can give his son a world worth living in, but the price of that hope may be more than he can bear.

SciFi that won’t disappoint
Each book had me wondering what would come next which is a something I enjoy in books. The story arc builds with momentum but never gets boring. Starting out the story with simple beginnings the plot deepens and a whole world is opened up with intriguing back story that weaves characters together building to the climax that is Atonement. The main character is thrust into increasingly more complex plots that he confronts head on with hand to hand combat, advanced tech and even mental strength. Makes for a great story that covers it all, science, fighting, action, teleportation, political intrigue, love, family, bad guys, monsters, on and on. Highly recommended.

Well done!
Damrich won. The world has fallen to his weapons, the Harvenger and Roanoke. Humanity is broken at his feet. All except one. Oryan has returned. Although the world has mostly forgotten him since the Warlord of Navarus died years ago, he is their last remaining hope. Oryan made Celeste a promise to keep Asher safe and he will give his last breath to keep true to his word to the woman he loved.
Such intensity. Such emotion. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this final book. The last book hurt, the losses were more than I could accept and I wasn't sure how Oryan would continue and keep his humanity intact. Damrich was more than an equal. He was godlike in many ways, seemingly all-powerful and all-knowing. The only person who was capable of destroying Oryan. These two were worthy adversaries, both strong, intelligent, and determined. The only difference was their motivation. Damrich was after power. Oryan fought for love. In the end, there could only be one outcome. And to be honest, I needed it to play out exactly as it did. It's the only ending I could accept. This series from beginning to end was well-thought-out and well-executed. The detailing was meticulous. It was original, suspenseful, and compelling. The audiobook was one of the best I have encountered. The casting of Scott Hart as the narrator was inspired. His voice captured the essence of Oyran beautifully and the composed music added a touch of gravitas rarely found in an audiobook. I found myself impressed with the attention shown in every aspect.
