The introduction of the audiobook summarizes the idea beautifully:

Mind is the Master-power that moulds and makes,

And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes

The Tao Te Ching For Success

Short and sweet! It reminds me of the Tao Te Ching but in regards to success etc. This book is definitely one to revisit at least once a month to absorb the gems of knowledge and wisdom. Quite powerful...

Excellent life lessons

I really enjoyed the little stories and life lessons contained in this book, at times I had to skip backwards and listen again to fully understand the lesson the author is trying to share, that being said there is alot to take away from this short book.

I listen to this book every week.

Would you consider the audio edition of As a Man Thinketh to be better than the print version?

The narration by Brian Holsopple was exceptionally good. It makes it a joy to listen to this audiobook over and over again.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is succinct and to the point. It covers the most important aspects of taking control of our own minds, with poetic and evocative language.

What about Brian Holsopple’s performance did you like?

Brian Holsopple has an excellent voice for narration and paces the reading of the book perfectly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book helps me to find resolve and focus when I find my mind wandering to dark and destructive places. It gives me peace of mind.

Any additional comments?

If you value being in control of your mind, but sometimes struggle with maintaining that focus, this book will quickly help you get back on track. It's a masterpiece of writing, narrated with excellence.

Clear and beautiful

Would you consider the audio edition of As a Man Thinketh to be better than the print version?

I love the comparison between mind and garden. How we grow has to do with what we choose to cultivate and what we choose to weed out. The message really resonated with me and had a strong immediate effect on my consciousness. We easily forget our own power and this is a good reminder, a small step back to get a clearer view. It's short and it is a pleasure so I'll probably listen to it again.

What does Brian Holsopple bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think his pacing is just right.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I didn't seat, I went for a walk, that is why I use audiobooks.

Principles to live by

A good listen.

Short. Full of principles to live by.
Have already listened twice, and on second listen got even more.
I suspect that the more I listen, the more I will hear.
Highly recommend this book.

school curriculum

Why this book isn't part of the education system here I don't know! Such simple logic that everyone should know before the age of ten. the world would only benefit in all ways.

excellent book which i found extremely relevant despite being written about 100 yrs ago. I found it an excellent accompaniment to Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn

Great timeless book and very good narration

What made the experience of listening to As a Man Thinketh the most enjoyable?

I like the narration. I listened to several excerpts and this is one of the best narrations for this book.

What other book might you compare As a Man Thinketh to, and why?

This book is about changing your character and have it reflect in your external circumstances. I find it more practical than some of the other 'law of attraction' books so I'll even compare it to a very practical self-help book like On Form by James E. Loehr and Tony Schwartz.

What does Brian Holsopple bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I liked the commanding voice of the narrator compared to many other audio books I've listened to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

great book. short and to the point

there is a lot to learn in this book and definitely helps a person change their own beliefs. one should listen to it a few times as some meaning can get lost if a 100% of attention isnt given to understanding the message

Outdated but OK

some valid ideas but lots of psuedo science mixed in. overall a good influence but for serious thinkers it no longer reflects the latest correct ideas. also very USA centric. Americans did not invent capitalism, consumerism, democracy it freedom and human rights. success has happened through history, in other places without the American mumbo jumbo
