Als die Informatikerin Daniela Kickl voller Vorfreude ihren neuen Job in der Apple-Europa-Zentrale im irischen Cork antrat, stellte sie fest, dass dort nichts ist, wie es nach außen scheint. Kreativität und Individualität sind hier nicht gefragt. Mitarbeiter müssen wie in Hühnerfarmen funktionieren, reglementiert, überwacht und auf Zahlen reduziert. Mutig nahm sie den Kampf gegen dieses unmenschliche System auf und wandte sich schließlich sogar an Apple-Chef Tim Cook persönlich. Die Autorin: Daniela Kickl, geboren 1970 in Wien, arbeitete in verschiedenen IT-Jobs, ehe sie 2007 ein Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit den Spezialgebieten Wirtschaftsinformatik sowie Personalmanagement an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien abschloss. Ab Sommer 2014 arbeitete die zweifache Mutter in der Europazentrale von Apple in Cork, Irland, zuerst in der Abteilung "Technical Support" und schließlich in der Abteilung "Customer Support".
