About this listen
The Apocalypse Tamer Complete Series Bundle is 4 full books of a LitRPG adventure about a young man who gains the ability to tame apocalyptic monsters to survive after the System Invasion.
Basil Bohen was asleep when the System arrived and the world changed...
Dungeons suddenly popped up across the planet, summoning invaders and monsters from alternate realities. Ancient gods slumbering beneath the Earth were woken. And all humans were empowered with Levels and Classes gained by, amongst other things, killing monsters and other humans.
Only a single instruction was provided by the System: “Whoever reaches Level 100 first shall become Earth’s new Overgod.”
So, a worldwide battle of epic proportions erupted... which Basil would rather sit out. Choosing the [Tamer] profession which allows him to speak with his cat, Plato, and other apocalyptic monsters, he'll adopt and train them to fight alongside him and defend his corner of the countryside.
After all, why bother fighting the apocalypse when you can tame it?
Experience this special edition LitRPG box set of Apocalypse Tamer, by Maxime J. Durand, bestselling author of Vainqueur the Dragon and The Perfect Run. Full of equal parts action and laughs, this story is a satirical take on the typical LitRPG Apocalypse stories blended with elements of Pokémon and Monster Rancher.
About the Series: Join Basil as he progresses from Level 1 to 100 all while refusing to play by the rules of the System. Able to recruit monsters to join him with his [Tamer] class, Basil grows a party of unique creatures to keep him company in the end of the world. They'll experience dungeon diving, battles, and building a little slice of forest into a defensible base.

MC accent
Please use accents for back ground characters. This is so we don't have to listen to a drunk Russian pretending to be French for 90% of the story. I just can't get over it. I'd give you 0 stars for that shite performance.

Find a sample before purchasing
I'm sure the story is great and I really like the premise that this story is part of a greater world and other books by the same author are interacting with this world... But I refunded after about an hour due to the narration. I'm sure there are people who like it and all I can suggest is to find a sample before purchasing

It'ss okay - but a bit of a chore to get through
As an omnibus its not bad value, if you just look at the amount of hours to the cost of one credit - but I can honestly say it wasn't all enjoyable to get through.
Looking back, if I had known what it would be like ahead of time, I wouldn't have purchased it.
Some may really enjoy the story, & it has some pleasant characters, but some characters (especially some of the villians) are just a nuisance to the audience and not engaging.
Mild spoilers - the story features a lot of hindu references & a character who goes from stoicly holding to his Christian faith to somewhere along the line quietly all but disregarding it. The story revolves around the premise that hindu gods are all powerful & control the world & our universe - though they are quite ambivalent to it.
Personally, I found the amount of repeated conversation of this (which is a lot!) annoying & that it took away from the story. This premise does not add a thing to the story, it only serves as a pervasive distraction.
Spoiler: A number of the more likeable characters are killed off, some very much in their infancy of character development, & most of these are not brought back. Some characters have a RIDICULOUS amount of plot armour, but don't get too attached to any after the core group is established as they won't last.
It had potential & at different points felt like it was going to get back on the rails & salvage itself as a good litrpg, but it never did.
I actually wish I had put it down when it first started to grate on me. ☹
