About this listen

If you know your French basics such as greetings, numbers and colors but want to take your French to the next level then this course is designed for you. The focus here is on building out your vocabulary. Depending on what you want or need to learn there are specific sections focused on topic areas: education, finance, management, IT, medicine and customer service.

In addition you'll learn a lot more verbs, adjectives and nouns to round out your vocabulary. We'll also teach you terms related to many specific topics whether it's the parts of a car, types of flowers, scientific terminology or books and movie genres to name a few examples from the course. You'll also get to listen to news articles, weather reports, sports reports, movie reviews and book reviews among other things as a way to test out your comprehension in more authentic real-world settings. The course also progressively re-reviews the materials you are learning in subsequent sessions to help you really remember it.

After listening to this course you'll be able to have conversations in French and broaden your vocabulary across a diverse range of topics. It contains 6 general sessions with a focus on broadening your vocabulary and then six specific topic areas depending on the situations where you expect to be communicating in French.
