About this listen

Victor Bayne, the psychic half a PsyCop team, is a gay medium who's more concerned with flying under the radar than in making waves.

He hooks up with handsome Jacob Marks, a non-psychic (or "Stiff") from an adjacent precinct at his ex-partner's retirement party, and it seems like his dubious luck has taken a turn for the better. But then a serial killer surfaces who can change his appearance to match any witness' idea of the world's hottest guy.

Solving murders is a snap when you can ask the victims whodunit, but this killer's not leaving any spirits behind.

As part of the PsyCops, Victor can interview the dead, a talent that can clear up a lot of murders. He teams up with Jacob & 2 other psychics to catch a serial killer. Great imaginary world, a nice romance, and an intriguing case. If only the story was longer, I wanted more. Spot on performance by Gomez Pugh!

Super good, I wanted more!

This was a brisk and exhilarating read, one that swept me up in its whirlwind of events. The author skillfully crafted a world rich in detail, giving me just enough background to feel immersed without overwhelming me. The story unfolded over the course of just a few days, yet it was filled with constant action and intrigue. I found myself eagerly turning the pages, captivated by the unfolding drama. Yet, the pacing was such that I could easily set it down to tend to everyday tasks, only to return with enthusiasm, ready to dive right back into the adventure.
