Publisher's Summary

Already Here tells of the death of Leo Galland's son, Christopher, at age 22; the direct visual evidence Christopher showed Leo that our souls do go on; and the communications from Christopher's spirit that dramatically changed Leo's understanding of life and its meaning.

In life, Christopher was a brain-damaged special-needs child who challenged everyone he knew with his unpredictable behavior and uncanny insights. After his death, he revealed to Leo the real purpose of his life, as a spiritual guide who taught others by confounding their assumptions and expectations. And he began to share with Leo a new perspective on everything from the nature of good and evil to the notion that the universe is, fundamentally, an act of love.

Christopher's wisdom was revealed to Leo over the course of a year, coalescing into three themes: the Gift of the Opposite, the Gift of Presence, and the Gift of Timelessness. Leo quickly came to realize that these gifts were not for him alone: they contain ancient wisdom, held sacred in many traditions, that Chris intended him to share with others. He has written this book to do just that.

Already Here presents a unique dialogue in which an analytical, scientific mind tries to comprehend truths from another plane of existence. Chris describes Heaven and Earth, spirit and matter, as unified opposites that cannot exist without each other and cannot be separated from human consciousness. The book takes its title from Christopher's final message to Leo, in which he describes Heaven as an "eternal present" where everyone is together, even those still living earthly lives. "Lighten up", Christopher says to his father. "You're already here, you know."

Tribute to his adored son

Very confusing, about a man who has written it in grief for his son’s death. Very hard to really understand what’s he’s on about saying his son talked to him about the afterlife and why we are all here. The final words in the book are something about we are all here to be in the now (author puts it as Gods moment) very sad and empathetic that he lost his beautiful son you can hear the live for his son Christopher radiates throughout the book. I was hoping from the read up to get some profound knowledge it didn’t happen. Since I read Abdrew Mathews book called Being happy in which is all about being in the now, I got much more fro that ok than I did for this one. It is however a beautiful tribute to the son he adored. Maybe there is much more in it I am not yet ready to understand but i couldn’t wait to finish it and unfortunately would not recommend it .

Absolutely moving!

What a moving book! I just finished this book and although I have so many feelings about it, my words just won’t do it justice. Just read it or listen to it yourself...it will touch you so deeply!

Touching Book

I have a disabled daughter as well. This book really makes you think about what kind of spirit is contained within that person. If you could remove all of their physical limitations, what would they be like?

Profoundly Moving!

This is a book so worth listening too. I am deeply moved and enlightened by the story of the whole family. I didn't want it to end and I am left with so much to ponder and think about. Having lost both my husband and mother in the past year I feel more peaceful than I have felt since their passing. The narration was powerful,I felt his[father and author] heart as he told his story. Thank you for sharing Christopher with us.

Deeply Insightful

I have listened to several NDE books and heard all about the other side from several different perspectives and this book touches on serious answers to spiritual questions in a way that everyone can understand. The story is heartfelt and genuine. I am so glad it was written.....amen

Class act

I could have written this book about the experiences I have had since losing a child. Thankful that Dr. Galland beat me to it. It is an easy to read, beautiful account of powerful life lessons.

Recycled

Would you try another book from Leo Galland M.D. and/or Leo Galland M.D.?

I doubt it

Would you ever listen to anything by Leo Galland M.D. again?

I would search for others first

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment

Any additional comments?

Although it is a touching story about the loss of a child, the communication between the Leo and Chris is minimal. You would think if someone had access to such a person they would try to get beyond the abstract and get a few clear answers. This is not the case, Leo takes a few inspirational thoughts from Chris and stretches them into chapter after chapter of what seems to him as insightful and revealing observations but are just recycled notions that have been discussed for years. Nothing new here.
