For centuries, the people of Alera have relied on the power of the furies to protect them from outside invaders. But the gravest threat might be closer than they think.

Tavi has escaped the Calderon Valley and the mysterious attack of the Marat on his homeland. I'm so glad this series is finally available as an audiobook.

Huge fan of the books and the narrator has done the series justice.
One weird thing though, every now and then a horn will play during the narration.

Other than that it's amazing.

I haven't seen the written version but I am fairly sure when referring to the hard shell Jim meant chitenous not kitenous!!
