My favorite book so far

The most stunning and atmospheric book of horus heresy so far. Even the villians are captured marvelous and shockingly coldhearted. The heroes of the story appear divided, different and vunerable and make mistakes, which their foe drives on. The characters all have personality, weaknesses and strengths. Exciting to the end, what more can you ask for?
