Absolutely loving this series from Otto Schafer and can't wait for book 3. The combination of Horror and Sci-Fi in an Apocalyptic world is spot on. He has written the main characters to be believable for the SHTF scenario and you care about what happens to them. I really liked the idea of the rust coloured rain as the cause of the Zombie outbreak. I should also mention the narrator does an excellent job with the different characters etc. Overall I very highly recommend this series to anyone who likes Zombie Post Apocalyptic stories done right!

This is a fantastic sequel. I really enjoyed it.
it also had one of the best scenes ever, the explanation for the title unfolds beautifully.
Here is a well-crafted story held together by three-dimensional characters.

The narrator does an amazing job. He is very versatile and his characterisations are so smoothly done, you can easily forget it is only one voice.
To be honest, some of his portrayals of the scary scenes are downright terrifying.

All in all, I highly recommend this book for lovers of zombie adventures with a twist on some of the more usual tropes.
