Not for me!

I just couldn't get into this one. The story line was a bit weak and the romance was corny (just my opinion). I stopped listening after hearing several chapters.

Enjoyed the story but not the narrator

Loved the story. I wish the narrator used slightly different voices for the characters so it would've been easier to understand who was speaking.

Not about Sam and Gabe

The plot twist is ludicrous, depending on how realistic you like your escapes from reality to be - for me it was way too far, I found it distracting!

Wonderful escape

Another wonderful story from Phillipa Ashley, the third in this series. The beautiful setting of Porthmellow is the backdrop to romance and love. The story includes the well loved characters from the previous books, I love that Troy calls ladies ‘maid’. I really enjoyed a few hours of escape to Cornwall. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Lovely book to escape to a Cornish town and village life...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really love the way Laura Kirman narrates the stories she reads, and she has an easy to listen to voice, unlike some narrators. The book flows well and gives realistic glimpses into small town/ village life (living in a small fishing town in Devon, I can totally understand!) whilst creating an easy to listen to escape. Will be starting the next one ASAP! 😀

Just Perfect, indeed

What a great listen. Characters you can both believe in and empathise with. A storyline full of clever twists and turns. Christmas spirit in abundance. All set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cornish coast. Another winner from Phillipa Ashley designed to fill you perfectly full of Christmas spirit
