Publisher's Summary

"We're losing him!" came a frantic voice over the headset.

"I'm still here," the pilot insisted.

"We're losing..." the voice cut out and then there was silence.

"Control, do you read me? Control?" the pilot was panicking.

There was no answer. Suddenly flames burst out all around him. The last thing he remembered was reaching for the eject switch, before his thoughts devolved into an inky black void.

The mysterious pilot was brought into the military hospital unconscious. The base didn't know who he was. Some thought he was an alien, some thought he was a Russian spy all because of the unknown, yet highly advanced airplane he was flying at the time of his crash.

When the pilot awakes, he has amnesia. He gradually gets his memory back only to find that he is not only in the wrong place, he is also in the wrong time.

A story that will occupy your imagination!

This story flows well on the type of thought process involved in contemplation of the time continuum theory.
I do like the way the storyline progressively grows to the beginning.
I would recommend this literature to ages 15 and up

I listened to this audio version of my own accord, and make the above comments on a strictly voluntary basis.

A voice for the soul!

The narrator is a truly talented individual able to illicit all the appropriate feels from head to toe. Beautifully haunting yet soothing at the same time.

Conflicted

I didn't finish this one and won't. Sending it back as I just couldn't finish it.

The story isn't bad and I'm conflicted about rating it...can't tell if it would have been an okay "read" (3 stars) with decent narration or if the story and the narrator were both bad. The overly simplistic storyline might be okay if you can stand the horrible, 50s style pulp fiction narrator. I couldn't put up with the narration and can't tell if it was purposefully done in the War of the Worlds melodrama style or not. Is it cultish or just bad?

Bottom line, if you like the old 50s style horror movies like The Thing or the TV show The Outer Limits you might enjoy this one but don't waste a credit, get it on sale.

Decent Listen

I wasn't sure if I would like this book going in, but it ended up being a decent listen for my morning commute. Overall, the story was good, though at points a little oversimplistic. That was good for me though because the book wasn't full of intricate details I had to pay close attention to while driving.

The narrator was average. He was good but there were a few places that the voice or tone didn't work and I had to back up and listen again. All things considered, he was a good narrator. I would listen to him again.

I requested and received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Story line is fantastic. The Reader, Not so much

It has a great premise and a well written story. I enjoyed every minute of the book. The reader, though, sounded like it was his first job reading out loud. But Still Well worth listening to.

Loved it!

I actually loved this & didn’t mind the narrator. I was completely absorbed in the book. I’d gotten book two for free so being anal about reading all series in order I had to buy book one and complete it first.
I love all things time travel. This story was cute, clean, funny & enduring. I have already started book 2 and while it’s a story that’s been done before there is a lot of originality too.
If you love time travel stories as much as I do you will love this one too.

An interesting book

It is different from any book I have listened to or read. A bit strange. Need to give it another listen to see if my views have changed from strange.

Great story!

I loved this story! It took me a minute to get into it, but I was hooked after the first chapter or two. The story had several surprising twists that I didn't see coming. I couldn't quit listening and finished in one sitting. The narration was okay. I'm not sure if it was the way the book was written or the way it was narrAted, but at times it was a bit stilted. That said, it's not worth missing the great story! I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in the series, I've already downloaded it! I received a review copy at my requested and voluntarily reviewed.

You Can't Change Time

As ably narrated by William Mark Woelfle [AUDIO], this Heinleinesque take on the consequences of time travel is a rousing adventure and great romance tied up in a SciFi package. Don't want to offer spoilers but there is a lot of fun with technology here. HINT: If you are listening on a variable speed device and not competing with road noise or other distractions you might want to boost the play speed a bit as the base narration is clear and deliberate.
