About this listen
When Rebecca Weller’s pounding, dehydrated head woke her at 3:00 am, yet again, she stared at the ceiling, wondering why the hell she kept doing this to herself.
At 39 years of age - and a health coach, no less - she knew better than to down several bottles of wine per week. Her increasingly dysfunctional relationship with alcohol had to stop, but after decades of social drinking, she was terrified of what that might mean.
How could she live a joyful existence, without alcohol? How would she relax, socialize, or celebrate - without wine?
In sheer frustration, on a morning filled with regret and tears, she embarks on a three-month sobriety experiment that becomes a quest for self-discovery, and ultimately, transforms her entire world.
A Happier Hour is a heartfelt, moving, and inspiring story for anyone who has ever had to give up something they loved in order to get what they truly wanted.

If you too have found yourself wanting to say goodbye to the misery of the wine bitch and are fortunate enough to be wanting to implement a change, l recommend taking a walk and give this book a listen, perhaps for the comfort in knowing you are not the only one dealing with the bitch.
Good luck to you in gaining momentum, remember the drive and the conniving deceitful intelligence your addiction needs to get that next drink? Redirect that drive and channel it to your recovery, it's hard and it will suck, but you deserve more than the wine bitch throws your way.
I'm 42 and 5 months sober. Listening to this was like reading pages out of my own book of life. It's so refreshing to wake up next to my significant other fresh as a daisy in clean fresh sheets, knowing what I did, what I said, where I am, where my bag is, where my phone is, not creating drama, and... having NO REGRETS.
Addiction comes in so many forms and can manifest from many difficult scenarios. Please know that you are an intelligent person. Whilst we cannot change experiences of our past or the reminders of weakness that may sneak up on us, we deserve to wake up peaceful, content and grateful to the prospect of positive new sober experiences.
When you know, you know.
