By the second chapter I was considering abandoning this book. I'd just finished the Logan MacRae series so had high hopes.
I'm so pleased I hung in there. Callum seems doomed and unlikeable, but the story pulls you in, and he becomes very real.
Great yarn. Lots of clever stuff. Can you solve the mysteries?

This has been the best story yet. It’s so clever in the twists and turns of the plot. Great characters too. The performance made the story come to life and the ending was really unexpected. Loved every minute of it.

I have listened to the whole series (some twice) of McCrae novels and love them. But this was, dare I say it, even better? I did miss Steele's dark humour, but the cracking story made up for it.
