Eileen Schnabel is the author of the Kep Westguard Adventures, a middle grade time-travel series that drops modern kids straight into the heart of the American Revolution. Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson and I Survived, these fast-paced adventures combine real history with high-stakes missions and daring escapes. The series begins in Boston, 1775, where Kep and his friends are sent back in time to ride with Paul Revere, hang lanterns in the Old North Church, and save Samuel Adams and John Hancock from the British gallows. By Book Four—The Second Battle of Saratoga—they’re deep in the turning point of the Revolution, facing spies, secret codes, and the impossible choice of who to trust when history itself hangs in the balance. Eileen first dreamed up the series after wandering through a Wisconsin cemetery and spotting the grave of a soldier who had served under George Washington. She wondered: If modern kids were dropped into the Revolution, would they have the grit to fight for freedom? Kep Westguard was her answer. Eileen now spends her days writing, speaking at schools, and creating videos that make history come alive. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, two sons, and Piper the goldendoodle (no time travel for them… yet). She holds an MA in journalism from Stanford University and a JD from the University of Iowa.
