Hi, I'm Zoe – a thriller and horror author from Oxford, UK. I started my writing career in the rom-com genre seven years ago, writing novels for HarperCollins, and then in 2020, my first thriller was released. This novel, Pretty Evil, was inspired by the MeToo movement and dodgy dating experiences I'd had using apps like Tinder. I had the idea to write a novel about a Dexter-like serial killer who takes revenge on toxic and abusive men, hunting down her victims using dating apps. The Independent described the novel as 'the ultimate revenge story' and Daily Express called it a 'unique, modern and compelling read'. My second thriller, Someone's Watching Me, released in 2023, is a suburban noir psychological thriller about a woman whose life falls apart when a strange man moves in next door. Recently, I have been writing novellas. My first, Courier, was published in January 2024, and is about a creepy courier called Bob who becomes obsessed with a woman on his delivery route. It's similar to You by Caroline Kepnes, but much grittier. My second novella, All Expenses Paid, is an extremely dark horror about two influencers who get invited on an all-expenses-paid trip, which takes a very sinister turn. It's hard-hitting and disturbing and will appeal to fans of the Hostel films. I will soon be releasing Something Bad Happened Here, just before Halloween, which is about a woman who doesn't believe in ghosts or bad energy and moves into a house with an extremely dark past.
