For over 30 years, Whitney Keyes has helped inform and inspire individuals and organizations toward success. She was appointed to the National Women’s Business Council, a nonpartisan council advising the U.S. President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues impacting women in business. She has received numerous grants from the U.S. State Department to empower women leaders, social entrepreneurs, and youth in Asia and Africa and was named the Women in Business Champion of the Year by the Small Business Administration. She earned an MBA in Social Enterprise Leadership. Whitney served as Vice President of Partnerships and Public Relations for a social enterprise helping people with disabilities, a Senior Manager for Microsoft overseeing global reputation management and corporate social responsibility initiatives and a strategic advisor for American Express. Prior to that, she worked for the City of Tacoma revitalizing neighborhood business districts and started her career working in her family's wholesale and retail businesses. She was an adjunct professor and fellow for the Center for Strategic Communications at Seattle University, as well as a guest lecturer for the University of Washington, teaching global reputation management, responsible leadership and strategic marketing communication. Whitney recently served on the leadership team for the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office where she oversaw strategic communication and helped address racial equity and social justice issues. Today she's the Executive Director of Seattle CityClub, a nonpartisan civics organization. Whitney lives in Seattle, Washington, and can be reached through her website: WhitneyKeyes.com.
