W. L. Harris is a Houston-based tattoo artist, entrepreneur, and author whose work blends raw life experience with bold imagination. Known professionally as Tattoo Whitney Houston, Harris has built a loyal following through his tattoo artistry, storytelling, and commitment to creative independence.

His writing spans gritty urban crime fiction and young adult science fiction, exploring themes of identity, survival, loyalty, and redemption. Harris is best known for the Race Island series, including Judge Knott and the Thief of Secrets, a YA sci-fi adventure that fuses high-stakes racing, advanced technology, and coming-of-age storytelling.

Drawing inspiration from real streets, real people, and futuristic worlds, Harris writes characters who exist between worlds—outsiders forced to rise in systems never built for them. His urban novels, including Mackin’ On the Edge, deliver suspense-driven, emotionally grounded stories that keep readers turning pages.

When he’s not writing, Harris is tattooing in Houston, creating custom artwork, and building his independent brand across literature and art. Through every medium, his goal remains the same: to tell honest stories that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
