Victor P. Becker knows firsthand what it means to fight Parkinson's disease. Diagnosed at 53, he was forced to adapt his competitive softball pitching technique—the first of countless adjustments he would make over the next two decades. A career human resources professional, Victor spent over thirty years observing people from all walks of life, insights he now brings to his advocacy work for the Parkinson's community. Victor serves as the President Emeritus on the advisory board of directors for Capital Area Parkinson's Society, supporting the greater Austin, Texas community. Despite the progressive nature of PD, he maintains an active lifestyle and unwavering optimism that a cure will be found in his lifetime. At 72, Victor continues to demonstrate daily that with determination, humor, and the right mindset, you can thrive—not just survive—with Parkinson's disease.
