Vanessa Moore is a clinical psychologist who has spent her life working in the NHS. She has worked therapeutically with patients from a wide range of backgrounds, but specialised in working with disabled children and their families early in her career. She has trained many clinical psychologists and other diverse health professionals, and managed a large Child Clinical Psychology service. Vanessa started writing as a young child, when she invented plays which she and her two sisters would perform for their parents and friends in the back garden. As a psychologist, she wrote Masters and Doctoral dissertations, lectures, presentations, hundreds of reports on patients and many articles for academic journals. 'One Thousand Days and One Cup of Tea' is her first book, prompted by the sudden and premature death of her husband. Vanessa also writes a blog for Psychology Today.
