From Atheist to a Believer in Jesus, based upon the Evidence! Valorie Emilio brings a unique perspective to the subject of Biblical and Christian apologetics. Raised in an atheistic home of college and high school professors and teachers, she was trained to view the Judeo-Christian worldview with skepticism and even contempt. She was formally trained as a classical concert flutist from an early age and performed with a number of the top orchestras in the United States. She was also a teacher of flute and piano in the Southern California area for years. Though she came from an atheistic background, she was drawn to churches due to her performances and participation in Christian music. At some churches such as Calvary Chapel, she was exposed to the Christian faith presented by evidence-based believers such as Dr. Chuck Missler who taught that you did not have to “check your brains at the door” to believe the claims of the Bible. It was at this point that Valorie dedicated her life to studying and presenting an evidence-based faith. Valorie attended a number of schools, both faith-based and secular. She earned a BA in History from Long Beach State University and an earned Master of Arts degree from UCLA where she majored in history specializing in Early Church Origins. For the past 20 years she has written and published over six hundred articles at her website.
