Valerie Nifora is an award-winning author of atmospheric fiction and poetry steeped in longing, quiet tension, and the small moments that change everything. Drawing on a love of history, sensory detail, and emotionally layered storytelling, she crafts novels that linger like a whispered secret. Recognized with ChristLit Book of the Year honors, shortlisted for the Hawthorne Prize, and honored by the Independent Press Awards, her writing is praised for its emotional resonance and quiet power.

Born and raised in New York to Greek immigrant parents, she brings a deeply human perspective to her work, often moving toward the emotional center of a moment and gently lighting it. Her work has captivated readers who seek fiction that is both intimate and enduring.

She lives in New York with her husband and two sons. When she isn’t writing, she is often connecting with readers, speaking with book clubs, or enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea.
